3 Jewelry Styling Tips You NEED To Know

1. Know when to stop

2. Gold and silver are actually friends

3. Don't forget about your earrings

1. Know when to stop

I’m the first to encourage layering of necklaces and stacking of rings, but it is a true art form to know when to stop.

If you’re drawing attention to your face and neckline with layered necklaces or a statement necklace, perhaps you don’t really need an armful of bangles to be competing for attention.

Choose a focal point and make that the boldest part of your styling. You can pair this with other minimalist pieces around the body, but keeping it simple is key.

If you’ve accessorised with multiple pieces then consider taking a leaf out of Coco Chanel’s book: "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory"

2. Gold and silver are actually friends

If you want to experiment with something new, try mixing metals when styling your jewelry. A good way to start is trying to add together different bracelets, rings, or bangles with gold and silver metals until you find the right fit.

When mixing metals, allow the combination of colors to speak for itself. Try and pair the color mix with a simple outfit or monochrome colors.

3. Don’t forget about your earrings!

If you’re like me, you tend to wear the same mini hoops or studs over and over again.

But it’s important to change your earrings often to keep a look fresh. In this day and age, where most interaction is done through laptops and zoom calls, your face is the only part of your style that people see. So, changing your earrings often can quickly elevate your style.

A good piece of advice I was given was to have an abundance of basics - mini hoops, cute studs, and chunky hoops - so you can grab any pair quickly and it will match your look.
